Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, the visionary, founder and inspiration of SGS Birds Paradise believes that birds are excellent bio-indicators of the ecological character of planet earth, and any changes to bird habitats have impact on global environment. Sri Swamiji established ShukaVana (Parrot Park), a rehabilitation center for birds in Maisuru, India. In about two years, ShukaVana came to be known globally and has become one of the biggest aviaries in Southeast Asiahousing a unique hospital to treat all kinds of birds with the most advanced equipment.
An extensive research went into the behavior, significance, timbre, character, response, quality tone, color and breed of each of the bird before Sri Swamiji identified, established and revealed the connection of each bird with day of the week, month, year; each zodiac sign, planet, musical note and plant species.
Successful conservation, which entails rescuing, rehabilitating and rearing the birds in need, is vital to the long-term survival of other bio-diversity including humans.Sri Swamiji's vision is to build a global eco system where fellow bird loving individuals, organizations, researchers, ornithologists, breeders, and bird supply vendors come together and work towards a common goal. Sri Swamiji has been composing several albums of healing music with birds and nature sounds that offers psychological benefits to listeners.
